LEARNING DIARY

 librarians have to record their activities and the status of library resources and services in the form of a diary. Earlier many KV librarians were told to use the Teacher’s Dairy for the said purpose which  couldn’t reflect the nature and characteristics of work done by a school librarian. A sample format of the diary was given as part of the library guidelines. Here is a sample format of the proposed KV Librarians Diary uploaded for the sole purpose of initiating a discussion.

15-02-2024     DAY 1

On the first day of the course we have learnt about NEP2020, Library policy2012, NCF SE 2023 along with its parts, FLN etc.

16-02-2024    DAY 2

Mr. saroj kumar das taken up the activity based session on communication skill .we  have enjoyed this informative session. post lunch session was taken by Mr. Biswa bag sir on the topic " changing role of school library and librarian", the session was very informative as well. 

    the hands on session on e-portfolio was taught by Mr. adesh kumar sir.

17-02-2024    DAY 3

The 3rd day started with the topic "Development of 21st century skills by Mr. VV Rao, it was an activity based session in which all the participants used their critical thinking and other skills to solve the problem(activity). next session was taken by Mr. Sunil saini sir on automation of library using eg4.

18-02-2024    DAY 4

Mr. sunil saini ,resource person has been aware us about role of library and librarian acc. to NEP2020 and NCF SE 2023. Second session has been taken by a special guest Dr. D.B. Ramesh, chief librarian, Siksha 'o' anusandhan university, bhubaneshwar.  He taught us about every aspects of IPR, like patent, copyright, trademark, design and Plagiarism. Next we all had learnt to make e-newsletter by resource person Mr. Adesh kumar on Microsoft Publisher.

19-02-2024    DAY 5

On  fifth day, session was started with the topic  Library mgmt.: Collection development and Record mgmt. taught by Mr. Biswa Bag , TA. He covered the topic with collection development, types of collection, process of collection development, what records should be there in library. Next session was a Guest lecture on the topic of Rajbhasha, taken up by Mr. Abhinas Das, paryatan mantralay, Bharat sarkar, Rajbhasha prabhari. Next session was on Data for digitilized library: to be uploaded on eg4 andSaini, RP. Last two sessions were practical sessions.

20-02-2024    DAY 6

The topic "Awareness about KVS/GoI Flagship Programmes was taught by Mr. R.K. Gartia, TA. It was an interactive session. Various Prog. like SATHEE, VIDYANJALI, PUSTAKOPAHAR, EBSB etc were covered under this topic. Then hands on session on How to make a Library blog was taught by Mr. Adesh Kumar, Rp.

21-02-2024     DAY 7

An important and useful topic "Stock verification" was taught by Mr. Biswa Bag, TA. we learnt a lot under this topic. Then a pleasant and joyful guest lecture session was taken by Mrs. Smarnika panda, psychologist. Session was on Personality Development. Next session was on OER taken up by Mr. Adesh kumar, Rp. So many OER has been told by him.
